So many posts close together. But it will make up for the inevitable dryspell.
I think I have mentioned before that Lachlan got a plastic golf bag/clubs for his first birthday. He is way too young to do anything meaningful with the clubs. I think I bought him his first REAL tennis raquet intended for a 2 year old when he was 9 months old. Now I think that was a bad idea, not oly because he cannot use it, but it could be bad for his arm, trying to swing this thing that is too long and heavy for him. But anyway. There are other issues.
Lachlan has broken off the head of the golf club, I think by hitting it hard against the floor. But now he walks around the house (he could not walk at 9 months or his birthday) with a big plastic stick, former golf club, or sometimes his tennis raquet hitting everyone. And he can hit really hard. So we are very wary if he walks behind us while we are sitting on the couch. He terrorizes us. Jason laughs, "I am scared of our baby!" He also tries to hit ( and manages to hit) our dog and car. He is just going through a hitting stage, I guess. He may slap you if he feels like it, or even if he wants you attention.
Yesterday I woke up to him walking in the bedroom wielding the toilet brush.
He also mimics us, which could be scary, but has been very nice. He holds the lower end of the broom and sweeps imaginary ( or sometimes not-so imaginary) dust from the floor. He will also hold the vaccum cleaner attachments and "vacuum" the floor.
The remote control ( I may have already talked about this) is another favorite toy. After pressing every button we don't know how to use (split-screen, etc) if he manages to turn it off, he will run with you with the remote, as if to say, "Change it back!." And he just runs to hug you once he turns off the television from the set buttons, which he has found also do things to the screen. Very sweet. How can you be angry while seeing your little one rn to you for a hug? Also, how does he know the most important moment of a show or a game, and how to change the channel at that moment?
In general, he is fascinated with buttons, how things work, (elevator buttons, dishwasher buttons, doorbells...).
Hopefully I can include some pics next time. I have had issues with the post publishing if the movie is too long. Disappointing.
