Saturday Bug

We started the day with an early morning, some tea, a happy baby, a diaper change...we decided to go meet our friend and neighbor at a local cafe for breakfast (I should say the local cafe, its not like they are lining the streets here). A few hours later, we are all sitting around the table talking, and Lachlan is just difficult. I excuse my self to the ladies' room his fussing cuts through the noise of other people. We go home and he feels warm; check his temperature: 102+!! So the rest of our day is spent at home and at Grandma's nursing, holding, soothing...I ran out and bought one of those in-the-ear thermometers-very worthwhile. Well, Grandma had tears when she saw Lachlan feeling sick, and Grandpa said he wouldn't be able to sleep knowing Lachlan had a fever...Grandma and Jason gave Lachlan a bath, we put peppermint oil on his feet, I dissolved some homeopthic pellets for teething. His temperature varied all day, from a high of 102.7 Yuck to 101.4. Jason called the nurse line and we felt pretty confident that he was just fighting off an infection of some sort, and his body was doing fine. We left Grandma's at 11P and I checked his temperature when we got home, about 15 minutes (or less) later. 99.8! Yea! So I called Mom & Dad, so they could rest easy last night. This morning, no temperature, he slept great, and is back to himself, bossing us around, reminding us that, yes, you can at least try and hold me while typing/eating/writing/doing laundry. Our little trooper!
I have some photos of him in the Midland Friday Snow, I just need to ask Jason where the camera is so I can download...maybe tomorrow
