Mixed Bag

Well, the devilish inside Lachlan did subside last week, and after that weekend, he returned to a his predictable self. Last Friday, he began the sort of raspberry noise through the mouth, and has done that daily, which is really funny sounding. This past Sunday he started to sit up a little on his own. He leans forward a little, but is otherwise pretty stable for short periods. He is talking more this week, too. And he loves to talk very loud.  After a few evenings outdoors, he has a few mosquito bites on his head/face, so his usually flawless skin has a few red welt-looking marks on them. You know I try this very (supposedly) high quality therapeutic grade essential oil on him to calm him down some evenings, and I don't know how well that works.
I thought Lachlan broke my laptop earlier this week. He loves to bang on it, and I let him, he was crying and the screen went grey. But it was ok.
So this week, Grandma Anne returned to our house from a trip to Cape Cod on Thursday, and Uncle John came in from Australia on Friday, and Uncle Rey came in on Friday from San Antonio! So he has lost of loving family very close for a few days. We did our tennis-farmer's market-brunch Saturday. Lachlan is a very good little boy early on Saturday mornings, we put him in his car seat, and he gets a little fussy for food, has a feed, courtesy of Mommy, and is calm enough to let us finish up before it gets too hot.

Nonni and Grandpa came over for a brunch this morning, and Grandpa walked Lockie around outside in the yard which Lachlan particularly enjoys. He likes to watch the trees and bushes in the breeze. Last Friday he was very captivated by the fish in this giant tank our friend, Karen, has in her bedroom. It is so funny, me watching him watching whatever. Joyful all around.
