Without realizing it, the beginning of the year has already slipped past me, and so has my New Year's Resolution to update Lachlan's blog a little more often. Christmas, in summary, was really great. We stayed home, had a nice dinner with close family, and opened a few gifts. What more could you ask for? Jason bought L a tricycle, which was very exciting for him a few days. I think he must have grown frustrated with not understanding how to propel it forward, and his legs barely reach the pedals, so it has sat dormant a few weeks now. Grandparents and uncle gave Lachlan a mini-basketball hoop, which he loves and has become his new temporary passion. When he isn't kicking the foobay, or hitting the golf balls off of tees. He did receive a cricket bat for Christamas from his Grandma Anne, and it lasted about 8 hours. The handle was broken after all of the bashing from mishits.
My birthday (and Uncle Rey's, and Nani's) has come and gone. Lachlan did learn "birthday cake" after that, and is very excited at the sighe of any sweet cake. BIIRRR-DAYYY! MAMA BIRRDAYY! yum
Today I needed to go into work a while, and so Jason, Lachlan, and my parents headed to see great-grandparents. (And I am getting a little break, wow! I can't tell you how luxurious it is to have the house to yourself a few hours.) All reports, Lachlan was very kind to everyone, kisses goodbye, the whole thing. phots are of Papi and Lachlan and Lachlan (strange iphone blurry closed eyes) with broken cricket bat.
Happy Sunday!
